Cameras are one of the things that most of us carry that are now affected by the new restrictions on what we can carry onto an aircraft.
Many of us take cameras with us when we travel and most of us have always carried cameras onto aircraft but, thanks to the terrorists who want to disrupt our lives as much as possible, cameras can no longer come with us into the passenger space of the aircraft we're flying in. That means that if we want to take our cameras with us when they fly then they've got to go into the cargo hold. Of course that means that they are going to be subject to rough treatment from baggage handlers that could lead to damage. And then there is always the risk that our baggage will get lost - only yesterday I heard a report that the latest terror threat at Heathrow lead to the loss of 10,000 pieces of luggage. So what can we do to protect our valuable photographic equipment? Well you will find some interesting tips here at No More Carry Ons and there are plenty of other travel photography tips if you follow the links you will find on that page.
