Everybody knows just how expensive college can be in the United States. Even over here in Australia we know how expensive it can be. Here are some tips that might help you save money on college.

I just came across  117 Creative Ways for Students to Save Money   and thought that you might find it useful.

You will find tips there on how to save money on money instead of wasting it on bank fees - how to save money on food, textbooks, beer - and if you don't drink beer there's even some tips on saving money on wine too.

All things considered it looks like a great little list to help you survive college financially.

One way of saving money that they don't mention is something that one of our daughters did to save money on transport. At that time the university (college) that she was attending was about an hour's drive over in the next town to where she lived.

There were a number of other students from the university who lived in the same town as our daughter so they car-pooled. Even when their lectures were not in synch they still car-pooled and it saved them a lot of money.

So be sure to check out the list - there might be some great suggestions there that fit your particular situation.
